Exterminate Brown Recluse Spiders
Is there a chemical that works to exterminate brown recluse spiders?
Yes, I use a combination of a residual and a microencapsulated pesticide. The microencapsulated technology is a pesticide that contains microscopic water balloons of pesticide. There are about 10,000 per square inch and they work with static electricity. The same way that youngsters rub a balloon to the wall and it make it cling to their hair, these microscopic balloons cling to the exoskeleton (outer shell) of the Brown Recluse Spider and as the spider moves the plates on his exoskeleton move and the shift will burst the microscopic balloons of pesticide releasing it into the spider's system.
Is it safe for Children and Pets?
The microencapsulated spray I use is very safe because once it dries on the home surface the pesticide is released as the microscopic balloons are popped by spiders or other insects, thus it is contained and safe for pets and children to touch approximately one hour after application. It doesn’t have an odor and dries clear. The effects can last from 3 to 6 months inside your home and up to 3 outside your home.
How to prepare for Brown Recluse Spider treatment
Not everything has to be moved away from the walls of your home, but the more that is pulled away from the edges, the more chemical I can apply.
Beds and furniture should be moved one foot from the wall.
The basement is where the majority of spiders can usually be found. It would probably be a good idea to pick up your pet's and children's toys from the floor area especially ones that go in the mouth, and place them up high or away from the wall.
